Tattoo Care

Aside from finding a good artist that matches your style, Pre + Post Care can often mean the difference between a tattoo that lasts a lifetime, and one that slowly starts to disintegrate. Top tips: SPF and moisturizer are your best friends!

PMU Pre Care Instructions

Skip the caffeine & alcohol 24 hours before your appointment. They can increase sensitivity and bleeding.

Avoid skincare treatments (like chemical peels, facials, or retinol) at least 1–2 weeks prior — your skin needs to be calm and not overly exfoliated.

Come with clean, makeup-free skin. No brow makeup or heavy moisturizers on the day of your appointment.

PMU Post Care Instructions

Keep them dry for the first 7–10 days — no water, sweat, steam, or skincare products directly on the brows.

Do not pick or scratch as they flake and heal — let them naturally shed to avoid patchiness or scarring.

Apply healing balm (if provided) sparingly, only if brows feel dry or itchy. Less is more!

Tattoo Pre Care Instructions

Hydrate and moisturize the area leading up to your appointment — healthy skin heals best!

Avoid alcohol and blood thinners (like Advil) 24 hours before — they can cause extra bleeding and affect ink retention.

Wear comfy clothes that give easy access to the area being tattooed (and that you don’t mind getting ink on, just in case).

Tattoo Post Care Instructions

Keep it clean and dry for the first few days. Wash gently with unscented soap, pat dry, and let it breathe.

Apply a thin layer of aftercare balm as recommended — just enough to keep it from drying out.

No swimming, soaking, or sun exposure for at least 2 weeks. Let it fully heal for the best, long-lasting results!
